A very common question that is asked is that "My state allows e-notarizations, but which types of documents can I use it for?"

Well, the short answer is we really can't say which types of documents such as titles, closings, power of attorneys, etc., because although the state may legally allow them it is usually the receiving party which dictates the acceptance of them.

For example, in some cases the receiving party may not be equipped to accept electronic documents or for one reason or another they may have a department within the company or agency that hasn't gotten around to it.  Whatever the reason, it is usually good practice to also contact the party where the e-notarized document will ultimately end up.
